Technology


The base is a wooden panel upon which a thin cloth is stuck with bone-glue and is covered with gypsous primer. The icons are painted with egg tempera, gilded with foil and varnished.
The usage of this old and proven technology guarantees the longevity of the icon.

1960 – Born in Sofia, Bulgaria.
1979 – Graduates the Secondary school of fine arts in Sofia, Bulgaria.
1989 – Gets a certificate from the Holy Synod for painting and frescoing churches and icons.
1990 – Graduates the Academy of fine arts “N. Pavlovich” in Sofia, subject - wall-painting.
2004 – Independent exhibition of paintings in Studio Galerie Kaditzsch, Germany.
2005 – Independent exhibition in Marienkirche, Leipzig.
2006 – Independent exhibition in Hochendorf, Germany.
2006 – Takes part in common exhibition in Thomaskirchoff and “May” gallery, Leipzig.
2007 – Participates in common exhibition at “Melnikov” gallery, Heidelberg.
Takes part in common exhibitions at the galleries “Minyon”, “Rakursi”, “Testa”, “Grita” and the Crypt of “Alexander Nevsky” cathedral in Sofia, Bulgaria. Lives and works in Sofia, Bulgaria.
